1. Treasure and Scavenger Hunts
With life jackets on and armed with buckets and shovels young children can spend hours splashing around the shore hunting for treasures. Whether it’s butterflies, fire flies or sea shells there are plenty of natures treasure to hunt for.
2. Floats and Inflatables
One of the most important ingredients essential for a lazy day at the lake is a float. Floats are an excellent choice for just about anyone of any age and they come in an endless array of sizes, colors and shapes. Happy floating!
3. Swim Docks
Swim docks are a treat that children can enjoy for hours. From jumping competitions to games of jump and catch the possibilities are endless.
4. Fishing
Teaching a child to fish can be a memorable event and can create fun filled days at the cabin. Fishing on Big Blake Lake is fantastic whether it’s off the pontoon, dock or shoreline.
5. Water Games
The official list of water games must be endless. Some of our favorites are water baseball, kickball, polo and monkey in the middle. Some games require little more than a ball and imagination while others like duck-duck splash require only players. Invent a new water game by allowing each child to make up one rule for the game and see where it takes you!
